Hi, I’d like to introduce myself…

Kelly Stephen
Permanent Makeup Specialist

Thank-you for visiting my website. I have been passionate about semi permanent make-up ever since I first had it done back in 2012.

When I left school I went straight into the hair and beauty industry for around 7 years, I enjoyed working in hair and beauty salons but also wanted to travel and see the world. I then concentrated on traveling and ended up working for Virgin Atlantic travelling lots of different places, I have certainly been having fun.

I always thought about doing semi permanent make-up and finally decided to do my training. When deciding something so important I knew that the correct training was vital and decided to train with one of the best in the industry, Katy Jobbins. I had my training 1-1 which was vital when starting up my permanent make-up journey.

Here’s a little about my training and experience in the industry…

Here is just a brief overview of the in-depth knowledge required to perform permanent makeup at a very high level. I trained 1 to 1 with Multi-Award Winning Head Trainer Katy Jobbins at the Permanent Makeup Training Academy.

I Use Only the Highest Quality Permanent Makeup Pigments on All My Clients…

ink-colour-pallet North East Permanent Makeup by Jo East

All the colour pigments that I use have been specifically formulated through years of research and development using only the finest grades of iron oxides and lakes, the same ingredients found in make-up giants

Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Truco, Guerlain, MAC, Channel and Gucci

cosmetic products. All the pigments I use are medical grade and from the leading suppliers to the medical profession worldwide. All my pigments are hypoallergenic and are also designed for concealing imperfections on burns, scars, cancer, vitiligo, and cleft pallet patients. They have supreme colour concentration meaning less touch ups over the years.

All of my lip and eye pigments are fashioned after the top cosmetic manufacturer colours which remain true over the years. All the pigment bottles are sterile, heat sealed and tamper proof for your protection. Each one is encoded with lot numbers and expiration dates.

All pigment has a micron count of between 6 & 8 to the colour last in the skin. I carry the widest variety of natural permanent makeup colours which I custom blend for  Blondes, Brunettes & Women with Silver hair. I can also order designer colours for those wanting more dramatic colour results.

Your Consultation & Your New Look Designs

Consultation – What to Expect

Your consultant will include a in depth chat about how you like to ware your make-up what colours you like to use and a full break down of what to expect during the permanent makeup process. It will also explain fully on how to look after your permanent makeup once applied and what you should and should not do.

Procedure & Anti-Allergy Patch Test

Kelly Stephens Patch Test

Patch Test

The patch test is very important and can be done in the salon or sent to your home address if you live quite far away, the patch test is there to make sure that you are not allergic to any of the chemicals in the pigment being used. This must be done 24hours before your treatment.

Kelly Stephens Permanent Makeup Procedures

The process will take around 1.5 – 2 hours. Depending on exactly what you are having done. The shape will be drawn on until we both agree it looks perfect then we will proceed. Depending on what you will be having done I will use either a machine or a microblading tool to create your perfect look.

Post Procedure

Tattooing healing cream will be given with a full set of instructions on how to look after your permanent make-up.

You will be invited to return 4-6 weeks later to get your top up which will go over everything that we did in the first session. Top-ups don’t take as long as we have already done a lot of the work in the first session, however they are vital as there may be areas that need to be improved.
